As a BBA student, I had mainly learned business concepts through academics. I wanted to gain practical exposure and understand how businesses operate, especially in sales, communication, and client relationships.
During my experience at this internship, I got the opportunity to work in Business Development. I learned how to identify potential clients, approach HR professionals, explain the platform, follow up with leads, and encourage companies to register and use the recruitment platform. This experience helped me understand the importance of communication, consistency, and relationship building.
The guidance from mentors and team members helped me understand the right way to communicate with clients and seniors. The team environment encouraged me to ask questions, learn from feedback, and continuously improve my approach.
Be willing to learn, ask questions, and step outside your comfort zone. Take every opportunity to communicate with people and learn from feedback. Practical experience can teach you things that cannot be learned from textbooks alone.
